Carnival winners!

Welcome to Pulman!

Welcome to Pulman class. As you can see from the photo above, some members of our class were part of the Wellington carnival procession on Saturday. As a school we put forward a fantastic entry, which was recognised by the judges and we were awarded second place in our category. So well done to everyone who took part!

We have been continuing to learn about ancient Greece this week as part of our monster topic.  We are planning a Greek Agora day later on this term, more details will follow closer to the date. To find out more about our work this term, click on the document link below.

This term we are swimming on Fridays, so swimming kit needs to be brought in each Friday. It has been a pleasure to watch the children swimming on a Friday. They have all made so much progress just in the short time that they have been swimming. It is also really nice to hear the instructors saying how much they enjoy teaching Pulman class. There may well be some certficates to come soon!

The children also have PE on a Monday and are fortunate enough to be learning the ukulele on a Friday, so a very busy term in store!

Have a lovely weekend

Homework

Each week the children will be set homework. This will usually be their regular reading, spellings and then one other.

This week's homework:

Reading

Spellings - Irregular tense changes - test on Wednesday 8th October

Maths - column addition, reinforcing this week's learning.

I will save any spellings or worksheets in the 'Homework Documents' section at the bottom of this page. Just in case!

Congratulations

I would like to introduce our new class counsellors, who prepared a short speech stating why they would make a good counsellor. They were then elected by their peers, so well done Archie and Susan.

Congratulations also to Dylan and Olivia who won awards this week. Well done to both of you.
