Welcome to Heather Class
This term we will be learning about Holidays, which is a history and geography topic where we will learn about the human and physical features of Lyme Regis. We will also learn about the fascinating life of Mary Anning, who was born in Lyme Regis in 1766 and became famous for discovering dinosaur fossils. In the folder below is a copy of the planning for this term. There are also folders for our class photos, homework, letters etc.
Heather Class will have their main P.E. day on a Tuesday and the children can wear their P.E. kits into school. We are hoping to have our P.E. lessons outside, as long as the weather allows, so please ensure that your child has the correct PE kit, as well as sun cream, a hat and a water bottle if it is a hot day.
The children will be expected to read at least four times a week and an adult needs to record any home reading in their yellow Reading Records, As well as reading, the children will be given spellings. This will be handed out on a Friday and is due in the following Friday. You will find copies of the homework for the different groups in the Homework Folder below. Please support your child with their reading and homework and encourage them to practice throughout the week.
If you need to speak to me, I am available before school for a quick chat, otherwise, please ring the office to make an appointment
