We are starting a new unit learning about Instructions. Please watch this video as an introduction about Instructions.  Don't worry, you don't have to make a big cake.

Practise giving instructions to someone in your house. Ask them to give you some instructions.

Then look at the document. Choose task 1 or 2

1. To reorder the pictures to give instructions in the correct order.

2.  Cut out or copy the sentences and reorder them in the correct order.

Over the next two weeks we ask that you now build the homes that you designed before half term.  We would love to see photos of your models when they have been finished.

Art

To know who Vincent Van Gogh is and the colours he used.

This half term we are going to be looking at Vincent Van Gogh's art work to then use his ideas/techniques to create our own art work. In his work he uses a lot of light/dark colours but not in the same painting’s.

Watch this video – is 10 mins long so stop when needed or can skip the guessing games.

Activity : Study the colours used in the light painting and try to use crayons, pencils, felts, pastels or paint and try and match the colours in each picture. Make marks (swabs) of the colours that you can see e.g oranges, yellows, light brown. On the other side, study the dark colours he uses and put those colour swabs on that side.

Extra challenge - Can you then create a picture using ONLY these colour palates?
