Kingfisher Class- Year 3

Welcome to Year 3 Kingfisher Class.

Class teacher - Miss Eddy

Teaching Assistants - Mr Wilkie (full time), Mrs Zeheri (1 morning)

HLTA - Mrs Davies (covering PPA)

Volunteer - Mrs Hooper

Welcome back to school and a new normal.  I hope that you all managed to enjoy some summer sun and forget a little about the uncertainty in our turbulent and changing world.

Our class has changed a lot and according to government guidelines, we are all sitting in rows, facing the front of class.  We have many new strategies in place at school and in class to try to keep our bubble as safe as we can.  Yes, it is a stressful time for us all, however we are trying to nurture the children and encouraging them to feel good about themselves.  It is lovely to see all the class back, having not seen some since March.  We are all adjusting to life in our class bubble.

This term we are studying the Romans in history and Land Use in geography.  There will be differentiated, challenging spellings set each week.  PE is on a Tuesday with Mr Parsons and children will be expected to wear their PE kit into school on these days.  Children are allowed to wear trainers instead of daps for PE.)  Please do not send your child in with additional baggage.  Their book bag, drink and packed lunch is all they need, along with a coat for the chillier days.  They are NOT permitted to bring in toys of any kind.

Please see more information below in the stars.  I shall update regularly.

If there are any issues you should like to bring to my attention, please ring the office and arrange a telephone appointment for after school.  Unfortunately, I will not be able to ring during lunch time as there is limited time.  I am trying to sort out class email - similar to when we had successful communication during lockdown and home-learning.

Many thanks,

Miss Eddy x
