**************

Welcome back after the half term for the final push of the academic year for 2021.

We have a continuation of some topics this second part of the summer term. Our own wellbeing, the School Values and PSHE will continue to be paramount this half term.  We want all children to feel safe in lessons and conduct themselves around school sensibly.  We want children to smile and do their best in class, given the last year and a bit has been difficult.

Extreme Earth and the Shang Dynasty will continue as our history and geography topics.

Light is our science topic.  Art is looking at the Willow Pattern Plate, linking with our writing in English lessons.

The planning overview is in the 'star' for more details this final half term in year 3.

Differentiated, challenging spellings will continue to be set each week.

PE is on a Tuesday with Mr Parsons.  They will be expected to wear their PE kit into school on these days.  Children are allowed to wear trainers instead of daps for PE.  Please do try to provide a St. John's PE kit rather than red football shirts.

Please, NO BAGS to be brought in to school, so we can avoid any cross contamination.  Their book bag, water bottle and packed lunch is all they really need, along with a sun hat for our warmer days.  Some children are allergic to certain sun creams, so please lather your child before school, if possible. As windows and doors are open ALL the time, a school jumper or cardigan could be worn.

They are NOT permitted to bring in toys of any kind.  If your child has been sensitive towards the soap we have at school, they are allowed to bring some in a labelled dispenser for their personal use, along with a small tube of hand-cream.
