Today is world book day, so the focus of the day is on Literacy and the joy books can bring.

Ekphrastic poems are poems that are inspired by art. We are going to use a Van Gogh painting to write an acrostic poem.
Watch the two short videos and then choose level 1, 2 or 3.
Level 1 - Write an acrostic poem using the word STAR. You can use one word per line.
Level 2 - Write an acrostic poem using the word STARS. You can use one or more words per line.
Level 3 - Write an acrostic poem with your own word and your own ideas.
Draw a picture of your favourite book or character from a book. You can choose to write a sentence the book or character if you like.
Choose to draw book mark characters with Draw with Rob.

Colour in some book marks.

Then go on your own hunt. You could make it a bug hunt or a unicorn hunt for example. You could come across obstacles such as a bed or spagetti. You can make it as sensible or silly as you like. It is up to you, but have fun doing it!
