Paignton Zoo Trip

Welcome to Pulman!

We have come to the end of another busy week.

On Wednesday this week, both Pulman and Popham classes visted Paignton Zoo for the day. We were very lucky with the weather, and had a fantastic day out. When we arrived we had a lesson on rainforests, the children took part in some activities and were able to touch and feel lots of different objects in the classroom. We then had our lunch, joined by some peacocks! Before exploring the zoo in the afternoon. The children were all brilliantly behaved and were a pleasure to take. Have a look at our gallery below to see some of the photos of the day.

We have started our new topic 'Jungle Japers'. We will be learning about rainforests and the species that live in them. As part of this topic, we are also planning a walk to Wellington Park. The children should have received a letter regarding the park visit today. Please could these be completed and returned to school promptly. There is no charge for this visit.

PE will be on a Monday and Pulman Class are swimming on a Friday, so can you ensure that PE kits are kept in school. The children will also continue to learn the ukulele with Miss Roberts this half-term.

Have a lovely long weekend,
Mrs Gage

Homework

Each week the children will be set homework. This will usually be their regular reading, spellings and then one other.

This week's homework:

Reading

Spellings
 - We are learning words with suffixes.

Maths - the children have a worksheet involving measures this week.

I will save any spellings or worksheets in the 'Homework Documents' section at the bottom of this page. Just in case!

Congratulations

I would like to introduce our new class counsellors, who prepared a short speech stating why they would make a good counsellor. They were then elected by their peers, so well done Archie and Susan.

They received their new School Council Ties today, so that they can be easily identified within the school.

Pulman Class Choir with their very smart new badges!

Well done to both Jake for receiving the Head Taecher's certificate last week and also toEllemae for receiving a merit certificate in our celebration assembly this week. Keep up the good work.
