Harry Foster, Year 6 teacher at St John’s C of E Primary, was joined by other staff and Mrs Foster for a 5K run.
Harry has taken on the challenge to run 5K every day in May to raise vital funds for the charity 2Wish.
This charity has been a huge support to himself and his wife, after they very suddenly lost their daughter Olivia in October last year.
"This charity works so hard, supporting families who lose a child, and they mean a lot to us. 2Wish have been a lifeline and we are extremely grateful for the kind, caring and professional support they have given us. We have made it our mission to spread awareness of 2Wish, so that other bereaved parents can receive the help that 2Wish provides" said Harry and Rebecca Foster.
When staff at St John's school heard about this challenge that their colleague Harry was taking on, many wanted to join him on one of the runs after school. They were even joined by several staff children who ran the 5K.
They were cheered on by those in After School club, complete with pom-poms, who also joined them for a few laps of the playground. They all agreed this was great fun and didn't care about the rain that couldn't quite hold off for them.
"Be more like Olivia" is now a well-known phrase to many of the St John's community as we all strive to look for the positive in life, enjoying the time we are given, and supporting everyone.
