Year 3
Class Teacher: Miss Eddy
Teaching Assistant mornings: Mrs Badman
Teaching Assistant afternoons: Mrs Collins
PPA: Mr Parsons and Mrs Newstead
Welcome to McCartney Class, where the year 3 children are embarking on their next stage of schooling at St. John's CE Primary School. We are now learning Key Stage 2 work, where increased independence and thinking skills are encouraged.
Above are links containing important information. Do have a look at what we do and click on a star.
PE with Mr Parsons is each Tuesday, so kits should be worn that day.
We are lucky to have cricket coaching from Somerset Cricket and our sessions will continue to OCTOBER HALF TERM. Therefore, children need to wear PE kits on a Wednesday as well.
We have weekly spellings and all are expected to try and learn as many as they can. Quizzes for spellings are on a Friday. A paper copy will be in your child's book bag and I will update it weekly in our 'Homework' star above.
Reading is especially important to fuel additional vocabulary and ideas for their own independent writing ideas. Please try and hear your child to read at least 4 times each week and record this in their yellow reading diary. We appreciate your support with this.
Many thanks,
Miss Eddy
