The Green Team Mission
We are part of Better Planet Schools and follow a module each term to help guide us in the right direction when making planet friendly decisions.
Last term, we completed the model on Fast Fashion. This term, we will look at Endangered Species.

Summer 2025
Year 5 have been working towards their Civic Award and Pankhurst Class teamed up with the Green Team in May to raise money for two charities. They held a cake sale alongside our termly uniform sale. We raised a whopping £107. Thank you to everyone for supporting us.
Some money will go towards supporting our local museum and the rest will be used to adopt an animal as part of our summer module on 'Endangered Animals'.
Well done team.
The team were so excited that we were winners in the prize draw for our spring term module. We received this bundle of goodies from Better Planet School, provided by Ark Wildlife. They will be welcome additions in our allotment area. Thank you.
Spring 2025
We are very excited that we have achieved our latest module certificate for our work on Fast Fashion. See below for the Spring 2025 module report to find out what we did to raise awareness for clothing waste.
Somerset Gardens Trust Grant
We are so very grateful to the Somerset Gardens Trust for awarding us a grant to purchase new equipment to help maintain our garden area. We were able to purchase the equipment necessary to start growing for spring. Thank you.
Donations
We are very grateful to our amazing community for all of the donations we have received to get our garden up and running.
Better Planet Schools:
2023 - 24
During 2023-24 the Green Team began a new project in the school grounds and involved the whole class too.
We also became part of the Better Planet Schools project and completed our first module all about Nature and Biodiversity.

The Mural Competition 2023 24
Our competition in school to design 4 murals is underway. Each mural represents sharing joy and hope: at home, at school, in the community and across the world.
The murals were designed by Madeleine, Ava, David and Harley.
Three have been created, and the fourth will be underway in 2024/25. Watch this space...
