Our 2024 - 25 Mission

We made lots of changes this year and are now well on our way to achieving our Green Goals.

Donations

We are very grateful to our amazing community for all of the donations we have received to get our garden up and running.

  • Our Spring uniform sale raised an amazing £43 which enabled us to get the beds half  filled with compost.

  • Blackdown Garden Centre have donated hundred of seeds and many bags of compost to help us get growing.

  • Izzy in Y6 has organised new tyres to help us get planting and Thamina in Y6 has donated some green fencing to help us grow our climbing plants up.

Somerset Gardens Trust Grant

We are so very grateful to the Somerset Gardens Trust for awarding us a grant to purchase new equipment to help maintain our garden area.  We were able to purchase the equipment necessary to start growing for spring.

Thank you.

Summer

Charity Fundraising

Year 5 worked towards their Civic Award and Pankhurst Class teamed up with the Green Team in May 2025 to raise money for two charities.  They held a cake sale alongside the termly uniform sale.  They raised a whopping £107.  Thank you to everyone who supported us.

Some money went towards supporting our local museum and the rest was used to adopt an animal as part of our summer module on 'Endangered Animals'.

Well done team.

Prize Winners

The team were so excited that we were winners in the prize draw for our spring term module.  We received this bundle of goodies from Better Planet School, provided by Ark Wildlife.

They are now welcome additions in our allotment area.

Thank you.

Spring

Fast Fashion: clothing waste reduction scheme

We were very excited that we achieved the Spring module certificate for our work on Fast Fashion.  Our uniform donation scheme is full up and running.

Autumn

Solar Farm Visit

Year 5 got in the act this term and as part of their geography unit Enough for Everyone, all about sustainable energy, they had a workshop and visit to the local Solar Farm courtesy of Earth Energy Education.
