Message from the Year 6 Teachers - 12.6.20

It has been lovely to see some of you in school this week and to speak to some of you on the phone. You are working extremely hard and doing a great job in school and at home. We have included a new link below called 'Courtfields Transition'. If you are coming into school, we will complete this booklet in school and keep it here. If you are working from home, please work your way through the booklet at your own pace. You may choose to do this as well as the English, Maths and other subjects available in the Class Homework folder, or you may choose to do the transition work instead. We hope you are all still smiling and remaining as positive as you can. We miss having you all in school!!

If you have any questions, queries or concerns, please phone the school or email us directly on:

Take care.

Message from the Year 6 Teachers - 1.6.20

We hope you have all had a lovely week off and have enjoyed the lovely weather! During the final Half Term of Year 6 our Topic will be 'The Olympics'. You will be exploring History, Geography and Art work based on the Olympic Games. I will be proving activities related to the Olympics as well as continuing to provide Maths and Literacy tasks. Towards the end of the Half Term, we will ensure that there are some reflection activities to look back on your time at Primary School and some transition activities in preparation for your next step in education at Secondary School.

If you have any questions, queries or concerns, please phone the school or email us directly on:

Message from the Year 6 Teachers - 22.5.20

In what has been the strangest Half Term of my teaching career, I would like to thank all of the families, friends and most importantly, the children, of Year 6! Your effort working from home, adapting to learning in a new environment and engaging in online learning has been brilliant. Lots of you have sent me examples of your work and I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality and creativeness. I hope that everyone has an enjoyable break over the next week and I look forward to hopefully seeing some of you in School the following week. Please make sure you stay safe during the break and most importantly, have a good rest.

Take care.

Summer Term

Welcome to the Summer Term, our topic this term is Ancient Egypt. I hope that you all had a lovely Easter and managed to enjoy the lovely the weather that we have had, as well as keeping yourself safe. I have really enjoyed talking to all of you on the phone and this will continue once a week. It has also been great to have lots of you email me pictures, work, or general conversation. If you ever need to contract me at any point please send an email to:

As it is the start of a new school term, I will be adding work daily into the homework folder below. I will be aiming to include a different Maths activity every day, a weekly plan for English which will have a different task each day and also either a Topic, RE or Science activity every afternoon. You must also remember to read every day. In addition, I have included ideas for PE and Spanish which you can complete at any time. I will also continue to read our class story and add audio clips to the 'Story Time' folder, so keep checking in. Finally, I will also be phoning each of you towards the end of each week, just to check that you are all ok.

Please keep yourself safe and keep up the hard work.

Take care.
