Heron Class - Year 3
WELCOME TO HERON CLASS
Welcome to the Heron Class page.
Please open the curriculum folder to see what we will be covering this term.
I will be in class Mon, Tues, Wed and Fri. Mr McFadzean will be in class on Thursdays. Mrs Groves will be in class every day. If you need a quick chat at the start or end of the day, please let us know.
PE with Mr Parsons will be on Tuesday afternoons. The children can wear their PE kits to school on Tuesdays.
Can I remind you that we are a NUT FREE school, so please take care when sending in snacks or packed lunches. Morning snacks should be fruit or vegetables, and drinks bottles should contain water please.
Spellings will be taught 4 days a week and a spelling sheet will be given out on Fridays for the children to practise at home. There will be a spelling test each Friday.
The children will also have a weekly Times Tables sheet to practise at home. These can also be found in the Heron Homework folder below.
Our St John's Reading Challenge will continue and the children are expected to read at least 4 times every week. After 25 reads they will earn a Reading Champion badge. Please do support your child with their home learning.
