It was a real delight to be at the church twice on Friday. The School Council children an I visited the church for a soup lunch at midday and were treated like royalty, being waited on hand and foot. The lunch committee had put on a real spread as always and it was difficult to choose which of the home-made soups to have. The children had a great time and were, as always, a credit to themselves and the school. I had several members of the congregation comment on how polite and well behaved the children were.
Then to return to church a couple of hours later to celebrate the successes of the children throughout the school, both with the weekly certificates and the extra special Golden Values certificates. Reverend Christopher once again did a great job in presenting the latter.
It is all too easy to take things for granted. This week was an example of that. A visitor to school this week remarked to me that a child had seen her look lost in the building and without being asked, offered to take her to where she needed to go. Our children are polite, well behaved and show a great resepct and tolerance towards others. I continue to be proud of each and every one of them.
