Whole School Cinema Trip to see 'The Trolls' Movie
It was an absolute pleasure to take the whole school to the cinema to see The Trolls movie. As part our subscriptions to the local film package we were offered a free viewing! The children were a pleasure to take.
It was lovely to hear from members of the local community; commenting on how well they walked through town and how polite they all were.
Another great example of how great our school truly is. :-)
Children In Need Day
As part of St John’s fundraising plans, pupils and staff dressed in variety of ‘Spotty’ clothing ranging from hair ribbons and ties to pyjamas. There were also 2 cuddly monkeys raffled by members of the School Council as well selling buns and cakes. There was also an opportunity to win a ‘spotty’ cake by guessing the number of spots it contained. The total amount raised was a Spotacular £333.51
Well done everyone.
Each Tuesday the staff complete training on various topics. The training is linked to the School Development Plan and staff needs.
This week Mrs Bayfield led an informative session on how to teach Art across the years and how to get the best out of all pupils, regardless of ability.
First Aid for Children
On the 3rd November, all the children in Key Stage Two took part in the St John's First Aid Lesson for children. They learnt what to do and how to respond in an emergency.
