Children and staff in Years 3 & 4 at St John’s Primary school, Wellington, visited Wildside in the Blackdown Hills for an overnight residential last week.
They had a fantastic time and took part in many new experiences. The children had the opportunity to make s’mores on the campfire, search for creatures while riverwalking, feed the pigs, chickens and ponies, some even got to sit on a pig! They overcame fears on the zipwire, and took part in a very long night walk aided only by glowsticks and ropes. Once the walk finished at 1 in the morning, they sleeply went to bed in their tents. The children came back to school, sleepy, but with huge smiles on their faces and a thousand memories for them to treasure.
