"Sharing joy and hope in the community."

Friday 18th January

Well what an end to the week that was!  As predicted the snow came in the early hours making every Headteacher in the County decide if it was safe to open his/her school.  Through the stirling work of the Highways Agency, the roads had been well gritted, allowing the majority of staff to make their way into school, resulting in the need to close only one class.  This also goes to highlight the dedication of the staff in making every effort to come in!

It has been a good week and I have awarded a number of Headteacher Commendation certificates to children for writing, times tables skills and topic work. In a rather truncated celebration assembly children showed some beautiful pieces of artwork on a theme of space, we had a reading that included effective similes and we all celebrated lots of hard work from others.

Mrs Weymouth took photographs of the children as usual, but these will not be printed out this time. Why not? All will become clear next week....
