How to support your child at home with reading and writing

Home Learning

During this Lockdown period it will be really important to continue with home learning and I am doing my very best to make sure that the work I set reflects the curriculum-led studies the Key Worker children will be doing in class. With this in mind, it is advisable that they have a daily maths and English lesson, and complete the two other subjects that will be rotated to ensure all subjects are covered. Having plenty of exercise will also be important, providing they are fit enough. From Week 2, all subjects will be organised on a daily basis.

The timetable I advise is:

Monday - Maths, English, French, I Moves

Tuesday - Maths, English, Geography, PSHE

Wednesday - Maths, English, Music, RE

Thursday - Maths, English, Science, Art and IT (alternated)

Friday - Maths, English PE,  Comprehension

There is also a section lower down for 'Extra Learning' which has links to useful websites including the BBC's Daily Bitesize Lessons.
