Pulman Class- Year 4

Welcome to Pulman Class

It was lovely to welcome the children back after the Christmas holidays, I hope that you all had a restful break. We have started our new topic, Natural Disasters, which the children are all very excited about. This topic will run for the duration of this term and will be closely linked to other subjects such as Writing and Science. This week the children have started performing their poems and presentations about 'My World', well done to everyone for all the hard work you have put into learning your poems and practising your speeches.

The children will continue to have their PE day on a Tuesday this year, but can they please keep their kits in school all week, as we will continue to run our Golden Mile in the mornings. They will also have a PE lesson on a Friday when they are not swimming. As we are not swimming this half-term, we will be doing dance on a Friday. They are also very lucky to have trumpet lessons on Wednesday afternoons. Have a look in the curriculum folder below to see all of the other exciting things that will be learning about this half-term.

Homework for Pulman Class is given out on a Friday and due in the following Friday.

Spellings - check in the homework folder below for copies of the spelling homework that will be going out this half-term.

Maths - each week the children will take home a copy of the times tables test that they are currently working on.

Please can the children continue to read every night and have their reading recorded by an adult. They also need to keep practicing their times tables every week.

Well done to Lily and Hollie for becoming our new School Council representatives, they were nominated by the children in the class.
